Sonja Long-Lambie, RDNutritionist
“My goal is to utilize my skills, training and experience as a Registered Dietitian in order to assist clients in living a healthier more fulfilling lifestyle. I believe that whatever you do should be done with all your heart and with full dedication and that dedication must be felt by all patients. Love and passion for what you do, fuels success in patient care and working together with patients and other health care personnel is vital to the care of patients. Understanding and compassion enables better cooperation from patients and thus better outcomes.”
Born in Kingston Jamaica, and attended where I did most of my schooling. While in Jamaica I attended a private university and received an associate in dietetics. After getting married, I came to the United States and did my bachelors in Family and Consumer Sciences with concentration in nutrition and dietetics at the Alabama A&M University. After completing my undergrad degree, I went on to do my masters in Nutrition. My master’s was done with a thesis. The title of my thesis was “Assessing the Relationship between Parental Modeling and the Eating Patterns of Children”. While doing my research thesis, I was also doing my dietetic internship which prepared me for my dietetic registration. I attained my MS in May of 2015 and I officially became a registered dietitian in September of 2016. In January 2017, I started working with EPC as the Nutritionist for both the Katy and Huffmiester location. I am married, and a mother of two girls.
